My Mark Farner signed Musicraft Messenger with built-in Fuzz unit.
This baby has the early Grand Funk Railroad sound that Mark Farner
had
back in early 1969 to 1971. I love the sound of this thing!
I bought this Peavey Wolfgang for $450.00. I have since modified it for improvement
reasons...like a better sounding floyd rose trem for sustain and a custom wound bridge
pickup from Guitar Force Pickups.
It's fabricated like Eddie's Frankenstein humbucker and
it sounds closer to his old tone compared
to the ceramic magnets that are in the Peavey
Wolfgang guitars. Eddie's original pickup that he customized
was a old '55 Gibson PAF
with alnico II magnets and roughly a low output around DCR 9K ohm. This axe Screams!
This
guitar used to be my main guitar. Now that I have the new EVH Wolfgang made by
the Fender Custom Shop, my Peavey has
become my back-up guitar.
